“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” ― David Richo

Wherever you are in your life that’s where we’ll start. There are many reasons why people come to therapy, whether it’s a specific emotional, behavioral, or relationship problem or a general wish to increase your well-being and happiness. You are the expert in your life situation, and we’ll begin with what you’re looking for in therapy.

My therapeutic practice is guided by eastern philosophy and mindfulness-based practices. From this approach, I have learned that mental health is about embracing what life brings you, with all of its joys and heartaches. The therapeutic process often involves learning a healthier way of being with your thoughts and feelings, not necessarily changing them.

My background is in clinical social work with a degree from UT Austin. In addition to mindfulness training, I have experience using attachment-based psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

If you feel that my approach to therapy might a good fit for you at this time, then I look forward to hearing from you!
