Anna Lisa Conlin, LMSW - Mindfulness & Yoga Therapist
Anna Lisa offers mindfulness- and somatic-based psychotherapy through the lens of Buddhism, Yoga and Hakomi. She works with adults in individual and couples therapy.
You are an adult and want to explore a holistic-oriented modality to address:
- unresolved trauma,
- chronic stress,
- grief and loss,
- marital or family problems,
- relational conflict, or
- inertia or feeling stuck.
You have Sensory Processing Sensitivity, or are a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). Anna Lisa specializes in High Sensory Processing Sensitivity or Highly Sensitive People (HSP). While not a disorder, like sensory processing disorder, HSP is a biological trait carried by approximately 20% of the population. Individuals with this trait process the world around them much more deeply. Our society is not necessarily structured to support these individuals, and, when the HSP trait is not understood or nurtured, deep suffering can occur. Anna Lisa has completed certifications for psychotherapists working with HSP from Elaine Aron, Ph.D. If you think this may be you and to learn more, please visit http://www.hsperson.com.
Anna Lisa uses an integrative and individualized approach influenced by somatic, mindfulness and Eastern philosophies. She views her role as a guide and a partner – offering tools, techniques and insight – rather than an expert in the life of others.
She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness tools, Somatic Therapy and Body-Centered techniques. As a long-term mindfulness and meditation practitioner, she operates from a foundation of unconditional acceptance, empathy and kindness. You can expect to be treated with respect and confidentiality. Anna Lisa welcomes all, regardless of life circumstances and abilities and she is open and affirming to LGBTQQIA individuals.
